MeeGo Linuxcenter Edition – a special version of the operating system MeeGo, developed by the GNU / Linukstsentrom for Russian users in cooperation with Russian representatives of Intel. MeeGo 1.1 Linuxcenter Edition preinstalled on laptops – nettop, netbook computers-in-One, sold in Russia.

After you install on your computer MeeGo recommend that you run system update. If Internet access is already configured, the system automatically checks for updates and offers to install them. In the system upgrade includes support for new devices, as well as improvements and new versions of currently installed programs.

MeeGo designed to work on a wide range of devices, including smart phones, tablets and notebooks. This will allow to create applications that no adaptation will work on multiple types of devices. Shop applications will be owned MeeGo Nokia Ovi Store.

MeeGo – an independent operating system, which, however, use developments projects such as Maemo, Moblin, Fedora and Debian.

MeeGo system is completely open, its source code published. Intel and Nokia said that all the company’s hardware manufacturers will have equal access to MeeGo.

MeeGo would coexist with the platform of Symbian, which is now used for smartphones. The new OS can be installed in the leading models of mobile phones. In particular, it can be installed on the smartphone Nokia N900.

How to install.
There are two ways.
1. From under Linux.
a) Use the Image Writer (the recommended way, depending on Python> = 2.4)

This is where Recovery Disk come into play. It is recommended that users create a recovery disk as soon as possible and keep it in a safe location. In case your Windows 7 fails to boot, the recovery disk can help fix the problem.If you're like most PC users, you probably got Windows 7 with a new PC or laptop. And if you're like 99% of the population, you get your new machines from one of the major manufacturers. Dell, Acer, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo; who all have one thing in common: they don't give you a real Windows 7 installation disc with your purchase. Instead, they bundle what they call a "recovery disc" (that's if you're lucky - otherwise you'll have a recovery partition instead) with your machine and leave it at that.


It doesn't matter that you just paid a thousand dollars for a machine that comes with a valid Windows 7 license - your computer manufacturer just don't want to spend the money (or perhaps take on the responsibility) of giving you a Windows 7 installation DVD to accompany your expensive purchase.

The problem is, with Windows 7, the installation media serves more than one purpose. It's not just a way to get Windows installed, it's also the only way of recovering a borked installation. The Windows 7 DVD has a complete "recovery center" that provides you with the option of recovering your system via automated recovery (searches for problems and attempts to fix them automatically), rolling-back to a system restore point, recovering a full PC backup, or accessing a command-line recovery console for advanced recovery purposes.

Thankfully, Microsoft seems to have realized this problem, and have thankfully made a recovery disc for this purpose. It contains the contents of the Windows 7 DVD's "recovery center," as we've come to refer to it. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows 7, and just serves as a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, one could re-create this installation media with freely-downloadable media from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK kit, a multi-gigabyte download); but it's damn-decent of Microsoft to make this available to Windows' users who might not be capable of creating such a thing on their own. You can make your own copy from Windows 7 Ultimate Edition, but now you have an easier alternative.

It's a 143 MB download (165 MiB for the 64-bit version), and in the standard ISO format, ready to burned directly to a CD or DVD. Don't wait until your PC crashes to download a copy! Download and burn your recovery disc today, so that when the time comes, you'll be ready!

What it does: The Windows 7 Recovery Disc can be used to access a system recovery menu, giving you options of using System Restore, Complete PC Backup, automated system repair, and a command-line prompt for manual advanced recovery.

What it doesn't do: You cannot use the Windows 7 Recovery Disc to re-install Windows - it only fixes (not replaces!) Windows.

Windows Vista, the next generation OS from Microsoft is now RTM.
This DVD includes both the 32Bit and 64Bit versions of Vista on 1
DVD. It is bootable into either the 32Bit or 64Bit setup and will
allow you to install any of the versions of Vista listed below:

Windows Vista Home Basic N (x86) or (x64)
Windows Vista Home Premium (x86) or (x64)
Windows Vista Business (x86) or (x64)
Windows Vista Business N (x86) or (x64)
Windows Vista Ultimate (x86) or (x64)
Windows Vista Starter (x86)

You can also install Vista from another Windows via the autorun.
However please note that you cannot install/start the x64 Vista
setup from a 32bit/x86 Windows install, you must start it from an
x64 install of Windows.

OEM/Retail versions are all available on the DVD depending on the
type of key you enter.

Similar to our previous releases of Vista during the beta,
we are providing 1 key that will install Vista. In this case, the
key is an RTM universal key and will allow you to choose whichever
version of Vista you wish to install. The key will however not
activate Vista. The same key is also builtin to every Vista ISO by
MS for trial/quick install purposes.
For further info, see \sources\x86\sources\inf\setup.cfg on the ISO.

Therefore, that means you can also choose to install Vista without
a key by selecting Next during the cd-key prompt during Setup
without entering a key, then pressing No for the popup window. It
will make no difference to activation however and you will still
have a limited period of time to use it.

Since Windows XP, Microsoft has instituted Windows Product
Activation (WPA). This prevents any extended full usage of the
Product beyond the allotted time, determined at install. We are NOT
providing workarounds or 'fixes' for WPA. You are still required to
activate your software within this time. While we are aware of
possible workarounds in the wild that may work with Windows Vista,
we suggest keeping yourself out of trouble. Most release groups
will tell you, "if you like it buy it," we say the same.


Note: When selecting the version of Vista to install during Setup,
you must select the type that corresponds to the architecture
you selected prior to the start of Setup. (ie. if you choose
the x64 Setup, you must select an x64 version from the list
of Vistas to install.)
